Since MAGIC supporters continue to come here and mention how much MAGIC, Bruce & Polstein "have done" for the town and never seem to get around to explaining or answering direct questions as to what exactly these "things" or "successes" are, I thought I would make a special place for them to post this information so we will all know. Thank you for your help with this.  |

Well it is safe to say that I am not MAGIC cheerleader, I read about a real MAGIC success story today on the front page of the Pol/Press. Magic just announced that it found a real sap to head up their Mafarious activities for the foreseeable future. Martin Cyr was choosen because he is completely mallible, Gullible and thinks MAGIC has nothing to hide.
Knowing Marty for a while, I can tell you that he actually believes in the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and that MAGIC is here to help produce jobs.
Congrats MAGIC, for having found someone to take the heat this fall when the voters chooses to end your funding.

Taking into consideration that Matt is still on the board of MAGIC, I'm going to count this as one of the successes....IF it can be believed, since it was told to us by a cult center stakeholder....
He paid the fee for some children to ride the trolley.....So, therefore, that must make him a philanthropist....

Absolutely nothing. Funny thing is, we have posted this question several times in this forum and the one before- they never have anything to say when we ask. But, then we know they come here only to pick fights rather than discuss and we prefer truth here anyways. |

Why, Silver Tongue, are you implying there is no Tooth Fairy or Santa  ? Seriously though, what is the problem with Marty? Someone was bound to be elected to the position, why not him? He is a native of Millinocket. He seems to be a hard working individual that is devoted to his wife and children. He recently purchased a home in town, and he has hired several young men from the region. |

Again Lisa, John, you have been asked for a MAGIC success story, I know that none exist, and you know the same. If I am wrong, please enlighten me. I merely commented that now that we are here in 2006, following six years of MAGICAL nothingness, and on the November ballot exist a way for the voters to put MAGIC out of our misery.
Poor Marty has stepped into a pile of poop that will not wash off, he will have to spend his time defending the illegal, immoral and beyond questionable activities of the organization that he has been named to lead into a new year of more illegal and immoral activities.
So this fall, when the voters opt to remove this cancer called MAGIC, they now have a fall guy, who does not know he is being used.

There are no answers to these question forthcoming, the only reasonable conclusion being that either MAGIC is trying to ruin this town or they really suck at what they do. In neither case, do I think this warrants throwing more money at them.

I wonder what criteria they use for deciding whether to praise or whether to attack ... Oh, I expect that they don't have any difficulty in that at all. They have a friends list, and they have an enemies list, provided for them by MAGIC, and minor details like fact and decency don't enter into the picture at all. It wouldn't matter if he had killed his wife, if MAGIC chose him, they'd find nothing but praise. |

One thing Bruce is very good at is using MAGIC for himself. We need to pay an honest person to be an economic developer for the town. That way we won't have to ask what MAGIC's success are - we will know and see. Bruce has had some success with MAGIC money but he is keeping that secret because it is for himself and his partners.

As I have been new to this forum, I have found the topics interesting, some I agree with and some I don't.
You have stepped way over the line with attacking Marty and putting those links on this site. You are now no different than the local town paper and there tactics. If you even knew 1/3 of the situation these links are talking about, you would know justice is not always correct. Some of you should probably already know that.
Marty has taken a position at an organization that you do not agree with, I don't with some of it also. Please leave your attacks to the organization and not someone whom is trying to do good.
I try not to attack anyone personally, but I still understand I have my own opinions that may differ from others. Those of you that are attacking some of these people personally, most likely harbor much anger or have there own short commings.
The last couple of days, I see some true colors coming out.
You will gain more respect by sticking to the issues and erring on the moral high ground.
Most of these topics are very interesting, serious, and bring out many opinions. Once you start attacking people, your opinion and thoughts hold less weight to those that read this.

I think, at times, it is easy to forget this after you have been dealing with people who recognize no rules and have no levels too low to stoop to. Thank you for the reminder.
