The clips from this morning's 6:00-9:00 WSYY radio program are now up at http://katahdin-news.com/wsyy.htmlAmong the topics are the "Wilderness Campaign Bible", Mr. Talbott's statement that most of MAGIC's board of directors were unaware of MAGIC's application for an FCC license and the violation of their own bylaws, a verbal list of the members of MAGIC's board of directors, and some pretty funny stuff.

Obviously, they are not even above using their own for their agenda. I think this speaks volumes and is so typical of how they "do business" and use anyone and anything it takes to get what they want.

A lot of people on their "own side" have been taken in and taken advantage of. Aren't there laws against what Matt and Bruce have done? Or are laws just for us "non-upscale" taxpaying citizens...

A lot of people on their "own side" have been taken in and taken advantage of. Aren't there laws against what Matt and Bruce have done? Or are laws just for us "non-upscale" taxpaying citizens... Unless there is someone who is interested in enforcing the laws, they will remain above them. We have election laws for example, yet they didn't prevent one MAGIC employee from voting four times the year that Matt and Bruce were on the ballot. That wasn't the only election irregularity either. Some members of the community tried to interest the attorney general in actually enforcing these laws at the time, and it seemed as if someone was actually going to move forward with it, then something changed - and they were told that the state would not enforce its laws, but that any citizen who was interested in having them enforced would have to hire an attorney and take it to a civil court. We have laws that permit the citizens to petition their government, yet a MAGIC-controlled council chose to ignore these laws several times. We have laws that prohibit elected officials from using their office to enrich themselves at the taxpayer's expense, yet Matt is living comfortably on Hammond Ridge. We have laws that prohibit an elected council from meeting privately to consider public matters, yet a MAGIC-controlled town council has done so repeatedly. Many laws have been broken, yet so far no one in local, state, or federal government has been interested in enforcing them. Let's see if that changes anytime soon. If any citizen of Millinocket would like Matt Polstein or the MAGIC group to be held to the laws that exist, they have to hire an attorney and take them to court at their own expense, yet when Matt or the MAGIC group want to circumvent the law, the town attorney - a founding member of MAGIC - defends them at the taxpayer expense. You, the people of Millinocket, have the power to change that, you know.

This morning's radio clips are up at http://katahdin-news.com/wsyy.htmlThis morning, Mr. Talbott announced that he has contacted the state Attorney General and called for an investigation into MAGIC. He has publicly asked for someone -- anyone -- to call or email to tell about one thing that MAGIC has done for the area (as opposed to for Matt Polstein, Bruce McLean, Gail Fanjoy, or other "stakeholders"). Today, he announced that he STILL has not gotten a single phone call or email in response to his request. I really wish we were home to hear this stuff live, but the clips make it almost as good.

Don't forget. The new stuff can always be found at http://katahdin-news.com/wsyy.htmlThis morning, WSYY encouraged anyone with information about MAGIC to contact the IRS, and gave out the address. This is not the first time that the Maine State Attorney General's office has received complaints about the Millinocket Area Growth and Investment Council (MAGIC), and this won't be the first time that the IRS has received information about this organization, which has quite likely been operating illegally for years. But, just because the Maine State Attorney General's office refused to hold Matt Polstein and the MAGIC cabal to the limits of the law the first time, additional complaints may spur them to action, Matt's friendship with Governor Baldacci notwithstanding. Just because the IRS has refused to hold MAGIC to the limits of its status as a non-profit organization before, additional information may yet stir them to action. Time will tell whether Matt Polstein and the MAGIC cabal will have to follow the same rules that the rest of us have to live by, or not. MILLINOCKET (take 'em for all they got and leave 'em with nothing) AREA (yeah, just in case Millinocket gets wise to 'em) GROWTH (grow their own bank accounts at the taxpayer expense) AND (and break laws with impugnity) INVESTMENT (invest our money in themselves) COUNCIL (take the place of a duly elected council)

Thank you, Mizter Anderson, for making it possible to hear the radio station...We are out of town for the holiday...and I am so happy we can hear the truth even from here...
I had read on another forum that Mizter Talbott had apologized to Mizzuz Lisa Pelkey Hayes...but when I listened to the clips...it was obvious that they were delusional again...Apparently though...Mizzuz Lisa Pelkey Hayes has spoken to Mizter Talbott and has told him that she will write a more balanced story this week...I suppose we shall see...but hopefully Mizter Talbott will not bet the farm on that...
And wasn't the challenge for Mizzuz Lisa Pelkey Hayes to debate with Mizter Talbott? She wriggled outta that one...
This Thanksgiving...I am thankful that the truth is being heard...on WSYY no less...

Has Nick Sambides written anything about this at all yet? He's awfully quick to report on anything positive that MAGIC comes up with, however imaginary; I'd think he'd pretty much have to consider this to be newsworthy.

Would you really want him to report this story? Facts are not Nick's friend.

i think nick is working for the wrong outfit. he would get more money to write a script for professional wrestlers. maybe the wwe would hire him. ok enough of me stating what i think, i went out for coffee again this morning and sure enough people were talking and how outraged that one of our elected officials would do such a cheap thing and how he kicked off another elected official off his property. judging from what folks are talking about around town matt just screwed the pooch on ever getting re elected. will i shed a tear over,,no. i sure hope bruce will start to look for a new line of work come re election providing magic last that long. ive also hear from town folks that a few of the east millinocket and medway selectpersons are no impressed and are going to reconsider doling out any more money for magic. if and when magic folds not to worry i think McDonald's is still hiring to flip hamburgers

I think IF Sambides ever had an credibility in Millinocket, his failure to report on this story has wiped out any there might have been. The Bangor Daily might want to think about reporting news - whether they like it or not.

Perhaps his policy toward MAGIC is that if he doesn't have anything positive to say about them, he'll say nothing at all. That's a better policy than Lisa's, which is to simply make stuff up.

Isn't that part of the Delphi technique, too? I was a little skeptical about all of this for a long time, but with everything out there, it's hard not to believe. I've been hearing and seeing some outrageous manovers from them people.
